I just LOVE going to The City... San Francisco, CA. This is my first time @ Anime Overdose. I saw on their website that Tara Strong was going and just knew I had to go! .... ok, I had other reasons too. This was part of a make-up/ forgive me gift for my daughter/assistant. Since we weren't able to attend Anime LA in January because of my other life (Cheerleading Competitions) we decided to go to AOD. Youko went into high gear and started working on our combined gift for her youngest sister, who just thinks Tara is the coolest. Youko set out to draw Rikku from "Final Fantasy X & FFX2", Raven from "Teen Titans" (manga), Baby Dill in Reptar from "Rugrats", Timmy from "Fairly Odd Parents" and Bubbles from "Power Puff Girls." We wanted to get Tara Strong to sign it for her and I got the pic of her doing just that! Secondly, I was just itching to shoot some pictures with my newest addition a 4 MP Hewlett-Packard camera. It was definitely lighter than the 2MP Sony Mavica, but it too had it's quirks and gave me my first real scare (I thought I lost 54 pics I took Saturday night @ the dance. I was soooo mad, but fortunately I trusted the disk and not the camera and when we went to put them on the laptop they were there!! YAHOO!!!) And last, it was a costume début of Ouka from .Hack// Legend of the Twilight (manga). My sewing machine decided to go on strike and left us with tons of hand sewing... UGH!! This outfit was a Christmas/birthday commissioned piece for Youko_Kurama and together we managed to get the majority on it done. With 160+ hrs and over $150 dollars I think we managed to make it pretty accurate. Still have some work to do on it (finish the feet, work on the wrap and maybe the wig) to polish it for Fanime 05. My computer GURU (a.k.a. GuruNerd FLEX) and Youko's friend Hiei accompanied us also. Hiei had a costume début of Aura from .Hack// Legend of the Twilight (manga) (I think she did a great job on her costume) and Mick (GuruNerd FLEX) worked on updating my website. He also sat in on a couple of the panels AOD had to offer, watched a couple of the video's and made sure we all had enough to EAT!! Thanks Mick, with out you we would all starve *LOL. Honestly though he does a lot for us @ every con so if you run into him say "Hi!" He will be a 1st time cosplayer @ Fanime 05!! He will be cosplaying King Enma from Yu Yu Hakusho (a.k.a. King Yama head of the Spirit World.) ...... Now for a photo break... here is just a few I took Friday and Saturday.....

For now I just want to say that it wasn't an "Overdose" of Anime, but I had a really good time thanks to my cospeep friends. THANKS Cospeeps!!! I will get my pics on my site, but for now it must wait... Fanime 05 is coming and there is lots to do. So practice you FLEX and see me there!!! ^^) Till next time....
