San Francisco.... I soooo love coming to the city ^^). The theme for TOA was hero's and demons, I guess that means that Youko Kurama fits *LOL. The con was held in the Cathedral Hill Hotel on August 28, 2004. The con offered a dealers table area, video programming, cosplay under the theme of "Survival Horror", a game room, and "Anime Con-ival" which was set up like the midway at a carnival. It featured about ten different stations where the con attendee could try their luck at winning an anime type prize. This is the first time out really shooting the cosplayers and I am not really thrilled with the pics I took. You can see them here. I will post some later with this report, but I want to clean them up a bit (way to dark but I was shooting with a 2MP Sony Mavica *LOL) I went with "this is a learning experience" in mind, but came home knowing that I love shooting pictures and when I'm in the moment with the cosplayer/cosplayers there is nothing in the world like it. I'm going to work on my style and I hope everyone likes it. TOA was a great little con. The cosplayers were awesome and randomly fun. The staff was warm, friendly, and helpful. They even told me how to validate our parking!!! I look forward to Yaoi Con 04 and the return of Tales Of Anime.... *giggles I wonder what their theme will be next time??? Till next we meet.... Anime Wishes & Cosplay Dreams .... BSaphire |
